Party at botanica!
Where do I even start?? This year's team is HUGE and I'm so excited to share everything with you! This year's spokesmodel team looks a little different, in a good way! Tisha and I have decided to collaborate and make this year's team an EXCLUSIVE experience! Your 2027 Garden Girl team is a two-photographer experience, something never done before. We love photographing with each other and love all things floral, colorful and seniors! Twice the photographers, twice the photos, twice the FUN!
At our first meet & greet session, I knew we needed to do something special. Something where we can sit down and get to know one another, let all of the first-time jitters leave the room before photographing. SO, a garden party at Botanica it was! After days of prepping food, flowers and decor, we both were prepared as well as we could be! Leading up to the big day the weather kept showing rain that morning but I prayed and prayed that it would move out. Sure enough, God answered my prayers and we had the most beautiful morning! Partly cloudy skies (almost perfect for photographing), slight breeze, cooler morning temps. We truly couldn't have asked for a better day!
As girls trickled in, it was so much fun meeting new faces, and seeing old ones! Khloe, a current Garden Girl, is the sister of my past Sweet Magnolia, Kyla! I'm so so excited to have her on my team, especially since she used to work for me! I had invited my past Sweet Magnolias to the session to help ease the nerves of the new girls and give a small testimony to what it's like being on a senior rep team and what they have to look forward to. I definitely think it helped the new team feel at ease!
After everyone had arrived, gotten their tummy full and business discussed, it was time to photograph! Having the Sweet Magnolias there to guide the new team through their first few photos really made an impact. It was a bitter sweet moment saying goodbye to my team but it's a special honor.
There are SO many beautiful spots to photograph at in Botanica, it makes it very hard to choose locations. We only had an hour to photograph the girls, however, a meet and greet session doesn't have a lot of expection for hundreds of photos. It's designed more so to meet everyone, gather group shots and capture featured portraits of the new girls! Working quickly, we were able to get a few group shots before heading down to the wildflower/bee patch just behind the pond to photograph a few individual portraits of the girls. Finishing up at the small fountain (my favorite part of the garden) we had completed our FIRST Garden Girl session of the year!
I do want to say, one of our girls couldn't make it but for a VERY good reason! Mackenzie was busy crushing it at SATE for track and field! I can't wait to have her join our next group session coming up soon. Stay tuned for that one! You won't want to miss it!! Enjoy my favorite images from our Meet & Greet session!
