The same location lacks variety!

Are you a photographer struggling to find new locations? Tired of suggesting the same area over and over? Or maybe your a senior or a bride to be looking for the perfect location for your session! After years of photographing in Wichita, KS I've discovered plenty of different locations to help give variety to my clients. These are my top 5 locations in or near Wichita, KS for photography!

1.Riverside Park

Located in the heart of Wichita, South Riverside Park has an area totally different from the Kansas farmland scenery! It has a long boat dock the clubhouse uses to train with that's sits perfectly facing the sunset OR sunrise! In the evening time the sun sets behind a tree curving over above the water that filters the sunlight through creating the perfect backdrop for any couple or senior portraits! I love to have my clients sit on the edge and put their feet in the water looking out into the distance. I've even had a couple get romantic with it and bring things for a pic-nic! They brought a cute floral umbrella and cherries to feed each other with.. It was giving me "The Notebook" vibes!

2.Douglass and Hillside

If your looking for the perfect area for MULTIPLE locations and a wide variety, check out Douglass and Hillside! You can park at "Off the Top" salon or there are other parking spaces just to its left. Just be sure not to park in the businesses that don't allow public parking. Off to the right of the salon you'll see a street of COLORFUL HOUSES!! I LOVE these houses, especially for seniors who are more into the floral, pastels southern vibe. They have an orange, blue, yellow, purple, and PINK (my personal favorite) house to choose from. They're beautiful in all of the seasons but if you want the floral you'll need to visit it in the spring or summer time! Over to the left of the salon you'll find the Crown Theater with its sparkling lights and blue sign. I like to have couples stand a ways from it and I zoom in to make the sign look like it's right behind them! Across the street is a gift shop with windows lined with gold, perfect for framing seniors! Just down from that is the "Traditions" furniture store that, when in season, has beautiful flowers outside of their store. The door itself alongside the adorable lanterns for lights gives me south Charleston vibes!

3.Meadows Park

Located on the west side of Wichita just off Maple and 119th, Meadows Park is a beautiful little park behind a neighborhood. It's perfect for tall grass and trees, but it also has a small pond I like to use for a background! Be prepared to walk a little ways however, because the entrance to the park is a hidden walkway between 2 houses so you'll have to walk a decent distance to get to the good areas!

4.Bartlett Arboretum

I absolutely LOVE this beautiful park. Located in Belle Plain, KS, this little park is only 20 minutes from Wichita and offers a TON of different floral scenery! They have a gorgeous white bridge going over their little pond with a weeping willow off to the side. They also have a beautiful gazebo with an iron bench and ivy crawling around! There's honestly too much to list but just TRUST me on this one. If you want lots of floral, colors and English garden vibes, Bartlett Arboretum is the place to go! There is a 10$ donation fee per person and they're not open all of the time so please be sure to check the days and hours they're open before booking your session!

5.Brambles Edge Farm

Located in Rose Hill, this farm has the most beautiful flower fields near Wichita, KS! From spring till fall they have multiple different fields like lilies, blue buttons, and zinnias, available for use! It is 30$ for every 30 minutes (which is not bad at all) but you must book ,I believe, at LEAST 12 hours in advance. I would recommend booking the week before to ensure your spot!
