With enchanting ponds, butterfly gardens and a beautiful sunset trail, Kayla and Austin chose the perfect venue for their fairy-tale wedding. The Honey Barn, located north of Wichita in Newton, KS was an absolute pleasure to photograph at. Nestled away in what used to be an old city park is their beautiful, rustic yet elegant barn and when you stepped inside it was like you were in a fairy-tale book! Books for a backdrop, books for center pieces, flowers made from book pages, antique photo frames.. All of it was simply beautiful, but I think the most impressive part of it was the fact that Kayla had hand-made most (if not all) of her decorations!
With every first look I photograph I always tell my couple to slow down, take a breath and share the moment together. Don't rush, take your time and really soak in the fact you will be marrying each other in just a few short minutes. Kayla and Austin did just that. They took their time admiring one another and wiping each others happy tears away! Between the couples obvious love and affection for each other, and the moment they handed roses to their moms, to the moment of celebration at their reception, their wedding was an absolute joy to photograph!
